                                       Q. 4 C SPEECH

             Example No. 1

Prepare a short speech in about 120 words to be delivered before your class on ‘Blood Donation.’

Ans.

Honourable chief guests, respected teachers and my dear friends, today, I ‘m going to speak about ‘Blood Donation’. Our college has arranged a ‘ Blood Donation’.  Donation is the specialty of Indian Culture. Our culture teaches us to donate. We donate many things like food, grain, clothes, gold etc.  with change of time the concept of donation has also changed. Eye donation, kidney donation, blood donation and even entire body donation after death has become a social need. Blood donation is the best donation. As blood means life, blood donation means life donation.

People lose much blood due to accidents, diseases or major surgical operations. Such people require blood. Thousands of people are victims of these things daily. To save their lives blood is needed very badly. Any able bodied adult physically fit male or female between 18 to 45 can donate blood twice or thrice in a year. He/she must be healthy and of right  age and weight.

There are some mistaken notions about blood donation. People think that blood donation makes donar weak, but it is not true. Our body makes and replaces the blood we have given within a few weeks.

Friends, think of thousands of, people in India who die due to lack of blood, who are they? Are they not your brothers or sisters? Do you want them to die? If not you, who will donate blood for them? Friends, come forward and donate blood. Remember, you donate blood means you save life.  The man who receives your blood will bless you.

So, Donate Blood !  Donate Blood !!   Donate Blood !!!

Thank you, thank you all for listening to me carefully.

Dear Friends,

As a NSS captain of our college, I am very pleased to inform you that our college has undertaken campaign for cleanliness in our village. We have announced a cleanliness fortnight from 15 August to 30 August. During this fortnight, we have to clean our entire village as well as we have to appeal villagers to keep their surrounding clean.

Friends, we all know that cleanliness is next godliness. Man can work well, if surrounding is clean. Clean village is happy and healthy village. Clean home is happy home.  Do we not know all this?  But how many of us really follow it? How many of us keep houses lances, streets, surrounding clean? Do we really feel concerned?  Is it fair? Our surroundings becoming breeding ground for germs, diseases, epidemics, pollution etc.  Due to these unhygienic conditions dangerous disease like typhoid, cholera, flue are spreading. Piles of garbage & garbage dumps uncleared for months are causing health hazards.

We all know that prevention is better than cure. So participate in this campaign. Do the following things.

·        Use the dustbins.

·        Don’t throw garbage on roads.

·        Dispose garbage carefully.

·        Clean houses, roads, classes, lances.

·        Keep watch on habitual offenders.

·        Stop dumping garbage anywhere.

·        Go, door to door and appeal people for cleanliness.

·        Tell people importance and need of cleanliness.

So friends keep clean! Keep fit! Live long!!!

Thank you all for listening to me carefully.
